more than a simple rewards program limited to only a handful of stores. Instead,
GetUpside has partnered with gas stations in over 40 states, restaurants and
grocery stores to provide you with the following cash back benefits:

Up to 25
cents per gallon cash back when you buy gas participating gas stations
·
A one-time
offer of 15 cents per gallon cash back when you refer a friend to sign up for
GetUpside PLUS you earn an additional 1 cent per gallon each time that friend
makes a gas purchase. You also get bonuses from their friends’ purchases too.
·
Up to 15%
cash back on your total grocery bill at participating stores, regardless of
what you purchase (currently limited to Washington, DC restaurants)
·
Up to 35%
cash back on your bill, before tax and tip, at participating restaurants
(currently limited to Washington, DC stores)
How Does GetUpside Work?
The GetUpside app is
easy to use and free to download on iPhones running iOS 10 and up, and Android
phones supporting Android 4.1 and up.
Follow these simple
steps to start earning cash back in minutes:
Step 1: Link your
credit or debit card to the app
Download the GetUpside
app and provide GetUpside with your limited credit or debit card
information so that it can verify your purchases.
Because you only
provide the first 6 digits and last 4 digits of your card,
your card information is kept private and secure, protecting you from cyber
fraud. What’s more, the GetUpside app allows you to link multiple cards, giving
you the opportunity to earn cash back on all your credit and debit card
purchases.
Step 2: Claim Your Offer in the App
You can view gas and
grocery store prices within the GetUpside app, as well as their respective cash
back offers.
Once you find an offer
you’re interested in, click on the location in the app and make your purchase
within the specified time.
Remember to pay with
your linked credit or debit card and keep the receipts when you claim a cash
back offer.
Step 3: Check In
Open the GetUpside app
again and select “Check In”. GetUpside will then process your purchase and
deposit cash back into your account within 24 to 48 hours.
Remember, you can
withdraw your funds to a Paypal account, have it mailed as a check or converted
to a digital gift card to use at selected stores. you’ll be able to easily track your cash back
balance.
What’s more, you can
track your rewards and see a detailed breakdown of which purchases qualified
for cash back and how much cash back you got for each of your qualified
purchases.
The Fees
Cash out fees will be
waived at higher cash out dollar amounts, but if you refer one person and they
are currently using the app, there is no fee for PayPal cash outs!
• If you cash out with
Paypal, a $1 cash out fee applies for under $15.
• If you cash out with
a check, a $1 cash out fee applies for under $50.
• There are no fees to
cash out to digital gift card, but you must have $10
GetUpside is geared
mainly toward finding deals on gas and gives you up to 25 cents in cash back
per gallon of gas purchased. Because gas prices change frequently, cash back
offers for gas purchases will also change.
Claim up to 2 offers
per day, for up to 50 gallons each time.
The map GetUpside shows
participating stations, the price for a gallon of regular gas and how much cash
back being offered. Click on a station and you will see the total you will pay
per gallon after cash back rewards.
Select a station and
claim the cash back offer from your phone. You’ll then have 4 hours to buy your
gas at that price, with that cash back offer. If you miss the 4-hour window,
you have to go through the process again, possibly ending up with a different
offer.
After paying the
posted price at the pump and completing your purchase, take a picture of your
receipt on your phone and submit it to the app. Cash back rewards will be
processed, and you’ll have essentially paid the discounted price.
Remember to pay with
your debit or credit card, make sure the receipt is legible, and prepaid gas
purchases won’t count toward the cash back offer.
Some gas stations
participate in a streamlined “Check In” feature, allowing you to get cash back
without having to submit your receipt. All you do is claim an offer at a
participating station, select “Check In” on the app and pay within 20 minutes.
You will then get cash back without having to submit a receipt.
Because gas is a
necessity, GetUpside will save you money on something you will purchase anyway.
